Social-Emotional Supports

These agencies work directly with students and their families who are supported in the area of social-emotional supports.

Covenant Church provides monetary donations, coat and food drives and Thanksgiving baskets.  They also sponsor our Girls’ Tea.

D.C. Department of Behavioral Health provides a social worker and play groups for students.

Empowering Males of Color:  Guerilla Arts Ink, LLC offers customized arts and cultural programming to promote literacy and critical thinking skills.  Further as well as support positive self-image, social emotional development and community engagement.

Faith Presbyterian Church provides food, clothing, school supplies, gift certificates, utility assistance, Thanksgiving and Christmas Baskets.  Bradley Hills Presbyterian Church in Bethesda, Maryland is partnering with Faith Presbyterian Church.

Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) works with students on leadership skills.

Girls on the Run helps students develop life skills taught through fun activities.  Students participate in an annual 5K walk/run.

Joyful Food Market/Martha’s Table provides a monthly food distribution for all families.

No Bully “is an evidence-based solution, aligned with PBIS and Second Step that eliminates bullying in more than 90% of all incidents.  We have trained 13,000 teachers across the U.S., created more than 250 bully-free compasus and provided over 138,000 students with a proven solution to bullying and harassment.

Vision Church provides monetary donations, school supplies and food donations.  Members volunteer with the monthly Joyful Market food distribution.
